WeJam.pro ("WeJam", "we", "us", or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use WeJam.pro (the "Service"), how we use it, who we share it with, and the rights you have over it.
1. Information We Collect
Account information
When you create an account, we collect the username you choose and a securely hashed version of your password. We do not store passwords in plain text.
Content you create
The Service lets you record audio over backing tracks and save those recordings ("Jams") to your private Vault or publish them to the public Feed. We store:
- The audio files you upload (currently in
.webmformat). - Metadata associated with each Jam (title, backing track used, timestamp, public/private flag, like counts).
- Likes and similar interactions you make on other users' Jams.
Usage and device data
When you visit WeJam.pro, our analytics provider (Google Analytics) automatically collects standard log information such as your IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, referring URLs, and approximate location derived from your IP. See our Cookie Policy for details on the cookies involved.
Information we do not collect
We do not ask for your real name, email address (unless you contact us directly), phone number, payment information, or precise GPS location.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To create and maintain your account and authenticate you between sessions.
- To store, display, and stream the Jams you create — privately in your Vault or publicly on the Feed, according to the visibility you choose.
- To operate features such as likes, public discovery, and personal recording history.
- To monitor and improve the Service through aggregated usage analytics.
- To detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, security incidents, and violations of our Terms or Community Guidelines.
- To comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests, including DMCA notices.
3. Legal Basis for Processing (EU/UK Users)
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, our legal bases for processing your personal data are:
- Contract — to provide the Service you signed up for.
- Legitimate interests — to keep the Service secure, prevent abuse, and improve features.
- Consent — for non-essential cookies and analytics, where required by local law.
- Legal obligation — when we must process data to comply with applicable law.
4. Sharing With Third Parties
We do not sell your personal information. We share limited data with the following categories of recipients:
- Google Analytics (Google LLC) — for usage measurement. Google may set cookies and process your IP address. You can opt out via Google's opt-out browser add-on.
- Hosting and infrastructure providers that store the audio files and database necessary to operate the Service.
- Other users — content you publish to the Feed is publicly visible, along with the username that posted it.
- Authorities — when required by valid legal process or to protect the rights, property, or safety of WeJam.pro, our users, or the public.
5. Data Retention
We keep your account information and Jams for as long as your account is active. If you delete a Jam, it is removed from the Service. If you delete your account (by emailing us — see Contact below), we will delete or anonymise your account and associated content within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law.
6. Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including hashed password storage and server-side validation of uploads. No system is perfectly secure; you are responsible for keeping your password confidential and notifying us of any unauthorised access to your account.
7. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Request deletion of your account and associated content.
- Object to or restrict certain processing.
- Request a portable copy of your data.
- Withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the address below. We may need to verify your identity before acting on your request.
8. International Transfers
WeJam.pro may be operated from, and rely on infrastructure located in, countries other than your own. By using the Service you acknowledge that your data may be transferred to and processed in those countries. We rely on appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) where required.
9. Children's Privacy
